What Exit Realty Means to Me in SLIGHTLY over 1 minute - presented at EXIT Realty Downstate's 2011 Holiday Party
Hector Castillo, Regional Owner of Exit Realty Downstate, NY asked me to share what Exit means to me and how Exit Realty has helped me achieve what I want. He asked a few of us to speak Holiday Party on December 11. 2011, and asked us each to keep it under 1 minute. I let him know when he asked me, which was only 24 hours before the party that I would not be able to do this in less than 1 minute. That was a promise, as Exit Realty has helped me a tremendous amount. I was honored to speak in front of 500 people in the industry and to share the stage with some very special people. I wanted to share with each of you, what I said that night and what I hope was communicated with my 3, yes 3 sheets of paper, so that you can really understand the impact this company has had on my life.
Good evening everyone! For those of you whom I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Erica Rose Siegel and I’m with Exit Kingdom Realty in Forest Hills. I wanted to briefly share with each of
you what an important role EXIT has played in my life.
I’m sure you would all agree that we make hundreds of choices per day, probably an infinite number of choices in our lifetime, right? Some like snooping around on facebook and getting sucked into your "friends" social calendars, is on the list of not so good choices, correct? While others like committing to speak effectively with 16 people per day, 4 days per week at the doors is a good choice right?
Every thought, experience and opportunity is the result of something we have thought about, whether consciously or subconsciously. When I got my very 1st new car on December 31, 2011 after driving around a 10 year old car missing 3 out of 4 hubcaps, that was a choice. When I crossed the finish line of my 1st marathon on April 10th 2011, raising over $8,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, after multiple injuries and barely being able to walk more than 2 blocks pain free a month before, that was a choice. When I quit my job on March 31, 2009, in an economy where people we being loosing their jobs left and right, and I joined a EXIT Realty as a full time salesperson, that was a choice. When I have already earned over a six-figure income this year, when it seems like ever where you turn another person is saying, “People are not buying real estate. It is a bad market.” Nope, it is not a bad market. It was my choice to help people who have to move and earn that income!
The market, your market is your choice. EXIT Realty has shown me how to make choices, not just any choices, but intelligent choices. We happen to be surrounded by some of the most gifted, productive,
dedicated people in the industry. Each of us at EXIT chose to work for the smartest real estate company in the world. We have incredible leadership, like Tami Bonnell, our President of US Organization, who
said at our 14th annual Exit Realty Convention, “You feel the best about yourself when you push yourself enough to do something you thought you never could!”
Erica Nasby and her father Bill Nasby have been coaching me personally for the past year. They have been teaching me to love and care about myself enough to stick with my commitments. I am becoming a better, stronger, tougher person every day in every way. I am learning how to find the answers inside me and to trust that what in my heart I really want and what I think about, what I strongly believe I deserve will present itself to me because I made a choice to accept each of these things as if they are already mine. Erica and Bill are also the people who got me out there prospecting, despite the fact that on windy days doors could bash you in the knee and give you a black and blue, like today.
Steve Morris our CEO, an absolute genius, has given each of us at EXIT the gift; we are ONLY real estate company that has consistent bonuses, resulting directly from our efforts. When we do
the absolute best for ourselves then in turn we will be given the opportunity to help others and at the same time we will grow ourselves as well. These are our residuals.
I love what I do! I love it so much that I could speak for at least 30 minutes about it, you can ask awesome broker, Vincent Koo! He is one of my sponsors and gosh darn it I am so glad I sat in his office 3
years ago and let him convince me to get my real estate license. Vincent and and office manager Lily, Tran have mentored me along the way. I love the people I work with and I love the person I have become. My dreams are so important that I willdo anything it takes to make them a reality. I feel blessed to work with a company whose philosophy is about people helping people.
As Realtors we have the ability to help people every single day, live the American Dream, by become homeowners. I forever grateful that I am living my dreams at that same as I am earning a living and that Iwas smart enough to choose EXIT Realty.
