Some statistics for those who are curious; in the past two days, in addition to qualifying to a total of 32 people, in 145 minutes, I handed out 32 business cards.  That calculates to about 4.5 minutes per person. I cannot think of a more efficient way, inexpensive way to get your name out in the real estate world and find people who have to move, can you? Want more info? Keep reading!

This morning definitely put the 30 credits that I took of Spanish in college including a semester abroad in Spain to work.  It started with the very first person, in which I realized half way through our conversation that even the woman was answering in English, she would prefer Spanish.  It really only took less than one minute and it usually takes a little less than two minutes for me to know whether or not the person is a qualified mover.  It is amazing to see the look on people’s faces when they realize I can speak their language.  It’s a combination of shock as most people do not expect that I speak Spanish followed by a look of relief as they feel much more comfortable communicating.  I qualified a total of six people today in Spanish.  Yes, being a bilingual Realtor certainly brings me ahead of the game. 

On a different note, I also met five people who spoke Chinese and virtually no English. Yet again, these are five people that may or may not be moving and unfortunately, I will never know.  Bottom line, if you are a Realtor who speaks Chinese or Korean, as I meet a lot of Korean’s too or you are looking for work and want to have the best job in the world, give me a call.  I will train you! If you happen to be outside of the Queens area, this is not a problem.  I have two fabulous Real Estate Coaches, Erica Nasby and Bill Nasby and an International Real Estate Team that is just incredible, so I would be happy to partner you up with someone in your local area that I know and trust.

Wow! What a morning! The first person I spoke to was a lady who told me “Get out of here!” Then a man slammed the door and said “I don’t want to answer personal questions!” Eighteen doors later, through a third floor  window, I met Anna Jones, who actually just moved yesterday.  She was grateful for my kindness and impressed with my persistence and insisted that I leave my card in her mailbox so that the next time she does move, she can call me.  Then, I attempted to qualify Ed, on the street, and he stopped me immediately.  He let me know I spoke with his wife yesterday and he thinks what I am doing is fantastic and they will certainly use me when they are ready to move and will keep in mind for future business as well.  Now that is what I am talking about!
