Adventures in Door Knocking - Chapter 12
““You are amazing, Erica! You are so hard working, I bet you get a lot of recruits.”
Adventures in Door Knocking
80 doors knocked 15 people qualified 15 business cards handed out
1 hour 2 minutes
I met some really great feedback again this morning.
I met Arthur, he was 93 and he looked incredible! He reminded me of my grandpa who is 94, and still drives, dances at family parties and is just so full of life. He let me know that he did not need my help now, but when he was gone, he would make sure his daughter called me. I let him know that would be a very long time from now, I am sure.
I met Bill, who waited for me to finish qualifying another person since when I knocked his door, his neighbor, who I knocked right before took a few minutes to get down the stairs so I qualified her first. He asked which Exit Realty I was from since he worked with an agent from our company eleven years ago when he moved from Forest Hills to Bayside. He then let me know he admired how hard I worked and asked for a business card.
After meeting two different people getting into their cars, both who were eager to take my business cards, I met Mr. Kim. Mr. Kim was impressed with how many agents I work as part of our team. We currently have over 110 as of today. He said “You are amazing, Erica! You are so hard working, I bet you get a lot of recruits.” He was also impressed with the amount of walking I did l. I informed him that I usually only walk at most six blocks in a given morning, plus the extra distance to where I park. I then pointed out that I will be doing my second marathon in November 2012 and ½ marathon in March 2012., both for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Yup, his jaw dropped. Perhaps I will remind him as we get closer. Maybe he will come cheer me on in New York City. I can picture his sign “World’s BEST Realtor Running For A Cause.”
I only door knocked one day this week. I was getting ready for one of the most amazing trips of the year, Exit Realty’s International Convention. Our company puts together the most outstanding line up of speakers. We take over a hotel and for just under a week, we learn, we grow, we bond and we take home memories, information and experiences that last forever. Take a look at this blog, that Daniel Cho, manager at Exit Realty Landmark, our New York City Real Estate Office put together. Let me know your thoughts.
