67 doors knocked   16 people qualified   14 business cards handed out

My morning started with the 1st block only 1 person being home to qualify, the 2nd block, only 2 people were home and of the 2, only one of them allowed me to ask all of 5 of my questions and the bonus question.  It was not until the 3rd block where I qualified the remaining 12 people and handed out a total of 14 business cards.  Imagine if I stopped after the second block?!

I did get a door slam and I door knocked some people on the street.  One man was carrying groceries, another woman was getting out of her car, I met a couple that was power-walking, so I joined them so as to not interrupt their workout.  I also met 4 people and 1 Chinese person that did not speak English.  I am still looking for those Chinese, Japanese and/or Korean speaking Real Estate agents.  Do I have any takers?

This morning I met another 7 people who spoke Chinese, Japanese or Korean.  They knew enough English to tell me what language they spoke, but that is it.  That is a total of 12 people in the past 2 days alone that I have no idea if they are moving or not.  I hope that someone responds to my request soon so we can start helping some of these people.

I met a very nice contractor as well.  He was so impressed with me that he asked if I could give him a few more cards for his family and friends and I absolutely did.  I also met a very kind Greek woman who told me was moving in 2 years.  Good information and I will certainly help her when she is ready but she is not on my radar as of yet.

 

Just a friendly reminder of what is I am doing when I am door knocking.  I am looking for people who plan to move in the next 12 months. When I find them, I will go to work for them, making them the most informed buyer or seller on the market.  I physically drop off information to their home and explain the ongoing research I do for them.  I hand deliver this info so that when the person is ready to move, they know the approximate time frame it should take to sell as well as the average prices in the area of recent sales, current listings, and those that have not sold or expireds.  If they are buying, I create a customized search for them based on the their specific criteria and can research comparable sales and negotiate on their behalf when they are ready to make an offer.

Erica Rose Siegel, I LOVE your Adventures in Door Knocking blog. I found your blog while Googling Bill Nasby Productions. Like you I will also be working with them on door knocking. It seems like you are meeting a lot of people. I don't imagine any other way you could meet that many people during the day. I admire you for getting out there and doing what most agents are afraid to do. Most agents are waiting for business to come to them. It’s like they are stranded on a deserted island and waiting for a ship of sellers and buyers to come in. You are building your own ship!
